Responsible handling and protection of your personal data is of particular concern to the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK). We want you to know when we collect which data and how we use it. We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the legal provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003, DSG) are complied with.

Server logs, cookies and website analytics

Each of your accesses to the website of the Radon Competence Centre is stored in a log file (server logs) for a limited time with the following data:

  • IP address of the end device
  • Request details and destination address
  • Used browser and operating system
  • Date and time of the retrieval
  • The URL you called up, including all parameters
  • If applicable, the page from which you clicked on the page link
  • The protocol version used by your browser
  • The access method used
  • Name and size of the data you retrieved
  • Message whether the retrieval was successful

This data is used exclusively to check system security.

Thus, the information contained in the cookies is used for session control, server load balancing, for analysis purposes and to increase the security of our applications as well as customizability and usability. Web analysis

In order to be able to evaluate (anonymous) user behavior on the website, this website uses an open source web application for web analysis (Matomo). The analysis is based on server logs, but on a purely anonymous basis. The IP address present in the server logs is anonymized before analysis. This ensures that no personal data is present in the analysis system.

Profiling

The Radon Competence Centre does not engage in active profiling for automated decision making.

Emailing

Data that you provide to us by e-mail (radonfachstelle@ages.at) will be treated responsibly by our employees and used only in the sense and for the purpose of the application. It is your free decision whether you want to share this data.

This website contains links to websites of other providers. We have no influence on whether these providers comply with data protection regulations.

The following legal bases come into consideration for the processing of your data:

  • Processing for the protection of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art 6 para 1 lit f DSGVO.

Storage duration

As a matter of principle, data will not be stored longer than necessary. The specific storage period may result from an applicable legal provision or applies for the duration of your consent.

Your rights

You are generally entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in some way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
